    Direct word from Papyrus:

"The NASCAR Racing 3 Craftsman Truck Expansion Pack product is officially
gold.
It will be widely available as part of the NASCAR Acceleration Pack bundle
by
next week.
At this time, the Expansion Pack on its own will only be available via
Sierra
Direct Sales. I hope that will change if the retailers perceive a demand for
this title, but right now that demand is not there. I regret that this will
make it a bit more difficult for our fans to get the product but that is the
current situation.

Sierra Direct Sales number is <snip>, and the direct web site link is
<snip>(do not order this)
The web site has an email notification feature that will let you know when
the
titles are in the warehouse ready to ship out. It may be another week or two
before they will be ready to fulfill the orders.

Senior Producer, Papyrus / Sierra On-Line"

Time to tell Sierra/Papy to take their expansion pack and use it to expand a
bodily orifice. They either offer it for download or not at all.

There is no way that I would pay more than $10.00 for this software.  Six
tracks plus two night versions that have been posted on various third-party
websites.   Ratbag offers some of the best racing out in stores with a
$20.00 msrp title "Dirt Track Racing", which I was able to buy at Wal-Mart
on sale for $9.99 a month after its release.

I have been a loyal customer of Papyrus' having bought every title,
including the mega flop SODA Racing.  I live in the Watertown, MA area and
have done testing for Papyrus when they were not owned by Sierra, and have
been to their offices for beta testing of NASCAR Racing the original and the
first attempts at web racing.  I don't know how many of these disks are
going to be produced, but I can't see them selling many at the retail store
level at that price.

I think that Sierra has really over valued this expansion pack.

Did we expect anything less? This is the way they treat the customer.
Sierra/Papyrus are hand fed for *** sakes.

On another thread, the sales of the truck pak are going to be online
only since they can't get any interest from store buyers for the
product.

>I hope they end up eating it..............

Apparently I'm supposed to be ashamed to admit I'm getting it...  I
still think that for less than it costs to take the Ol' Lady to a movie I
can have something that'll entertain me for MONTHS (sorry, Babe, you're on
your own) is too good to pass up.  Hoping it'll have the latest patch in it,
too.  Trucks are TOO much fun to be without.  And FINALLY we'll have PIR
(too bad they dropped Portland Speedway [my Friday night track])!
