If players insist on nominating and running in races that have no pace
lap, please learn how to start properly.  I was in four races at
Talladega last night, and in each there was a wreck on lap one before
turn one!  What people don't seem to realize is not only do all of the
cars accelerate differently due to gearing, but for some reason due to
the network itself I assume the gas sometimes hesitates.  Sometimes as
the green flag drops and you press in the gas, it does not respond for a
second.  Meanwhile, you have 10 or so anxious morons (excuse me, I mean
inexperienced racers) who run into the back of you.

For the love of God people, Learn to be patient!  If you loose a
position or two on the start because you don't jump right on the gas, it
really is not the end of the world.  More often than not, by turn 3 you
will be caught right back up.  This is especially true at Talladega,
where I would rather be in second place anyway.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! read NIMSTIPS.TXT in the HAWAII.EXE zip file.
Nim Cross is one of our most experienced beta testers, and he has
written this document to talk about how to race.  It will really help
EVERYONE a lot.
