No damage model?

True. These***pit views were back when computers were slower and the
actual animated view was only 1/2 the screen or less (letter box cam).

I much prefer the full screen 'out there' view! Although I'm working on
a simulator (which should never be finished according to my
calculations)
which is my first release of any software. So I'm going to design it to
work on a fast 386...which will use letterbox cam ;-) ofcourse it will
have full screen too for fast pcs.

Fine. WHat about just some writing down the bottom of the screen like
many
do, or is that not to your liking?

Please....PLEASE......don't visit Australia on a driving holiday or, if
you do, let us all know befoehand.

If you have trouble driving so fast that you can't concentrate on either
the driving or checking your speedometer then for Christs' sake, stay
away from me!

Checking. Note that word there.

Personally I find I have to glance down to see the speedo in my car.
This momentarily takes my eyes away from the road (well, means I have
to rely on peripheral vision). Games with a***pit view have all the
information right there so you can read it easily without having to
glance down. I would suggest that this***pit view is less realistic
than the full screen stuff.

Of course, what it really comes down to is that I much prefer the full
screen view and leave***pit views with their little animated
steering wheels and whatnot to the arcade racers.
