Hello

I have ICR2 and it runs fine under OS/2 Warp. The only problem I have is
that the joystick is a bit "shakey". I use the joystick driver for OS/2 that
you can download from various sites, but it isn't very good.

The reason you can't get it too run might be that the memory settings is
wrong as it is using the settings for ICR1. You don't need either EMS or XMS
memory for newer games, but they need to have the DPMI_DOS_API set to enabled
or auto. Be sure that the DPMI_MEMORY_LIMIT is at least 8MB. You can
also replace the path and filename to ICR2 in the settings notebook to * and
start it manually by typing the filename from the DOS prompt that will come
up when you double click the icon. That way you will be able to
read the error message from the game when it ends.

No problems whatsoever.....very smooth at a click from the desktop

I've just created a program object of the .exe file.

Works for me.

More details if you need them.....settings etc.....mail me.

Cheers!

Actually, the "hiccup" in the engine occurs with the DOS version as
well.

After posting my message, I started looking some more on the Web and I
found a site at IBM (dont know the URL offhand, mail me if you want it)
that had suggested "generic" settings for anygame.  I made myself a Game
Template program template using these settings and used it to set up
ICR2.. voila!  Every now and then, the sound cuts out for a fraction of a
second, which makes it sound like the engine hiccuped, but other than it
worked fine.

Hmm.. Might do this with my Game Template to make a general Full Screen
session for testing out new games.. :-)

It does?  I've never had that happen in a couple thousand laps.  It's
probably due to the type of sound card you're using.  FYI: I have an
SB16 basic with waveblaster.
