Ladies and gentlemen:
First of all, it is my pleasure to welcome two new people to IWCCCARS.
You may know their names... Eric T. Busch as our new Q & A
representative, and Patrick Gilmore as Winston Cup and Busch designer.
Eric has been an off-and-on contributor to IWCCCARS since our
inception in 1994, but recently I have been impressed by his complete
and thoughtful answers to troubleshooting questions on r.a.s. It
seemed only natural to "upgrade" him to full Team member status.
If you've been to the Pits lately, you already know who Patrick
Gilmore is. He's the one who's responsible for those beautiful
Miller, Skittles, and John Deere cars. Well, the rest of the Design
Team loaded my mailbox with demands that I ask him to join, and after
seeing his cars I needed no more goading. Patrick's cars, amplified a
bit with new bio and team information, are now onsite at IWCCCARS and
Patrick himself is now a full-fledged Team member.
As far as site additions go, we just added some new cars to PROMO96
for N1 users, as well as the 2, 36, 42, and 97 cars to the N2 page.
You must like what we're doing, because in the past week we've
registered 10,000 hits to the site!!!! That's an all-time high for
us, and we thank you for your patronage and support.
to retire as the head of the IWCCCARS Project. After almost three
years, multiple site upgrades, and several thousand dollars, it pains
me that I would have to give up my involvement in the site; not to
mention the fact that my ego would be seriously bruised.. <GGG>
Seriously, though! Let me just say that IWCCCARS will continue to
produce high-quality third-party cars for NASCAR Racing 1 and 2
without me. I've enjoyed the time I have spent painting, building the
site, talking to all the wonderful people I've met, and helping to
make your sim racing experience more enjoyable. Believe me, there's
nothing better than talking to someone on the Internet and having them
suddenly say, "Hey, you're the IWCCCARS guy!" But my fif*** minutes
of fame are up with regards to IWCCCARS, and someone else will be
taking the reins when 1997 rolls around.
I'll still be around handling SimRacing Online, so those hoping to get
rid of me are out of luck. But to all IWCCCARS patrons -- it's been
my pleasure serving you, and I hope you continue to frequent IWCCCARS
for many more years. Thanks for being a great part of my life.
Tony
