Momo, calibration and the PS2

I've searched and searched, but can't find an answer to this question
(and it must have been answered).

Has anyone had any luck with calibrating the logitech MOMO with GT3 and
the PS2?  I can calibrate the wheel to be centered in the menus, but I
still must "fight" the FF motor to keep the car straight while in the
game.  Is the only perfect solution to open the wheel up and adjust the
gears?
