GPL -does not start (again)

I am getting desperate ....

I played GPL for more than a year, now it does not start up.
The first screen appears (the black one with the version number)
and then it hangs up.

I tried all kinds of drivers, but that is not the problem! The game never
comes to start the game, it even does not try to load it.

What can I do?

I just had this problem.  I fixed it by taking the original GPL.EXE from the
cd, put in in the GPL directory, and it started fine.  I then went back and
re-installed the 1.2 patch and have been thrashing around the worlds great
circuits again in fine style :)

Does not work! I get an error message about active movie that cannot
be installed.

Its ridiculous. :-((

1. oh no....not robbie gordon again..and again and again and again
