Yes got it yesterday for the Xbox

Better than CM3 in every area, handling is much much better the cars
have a real feeling of weight now.  There is a superb feeling of speed
as well, taking the Lancia Rally 037 through the woods in Finland is
every inch a white knuckle ride

So to be very brief

Plus

Physics great, arcade with realistic overtones
Graphics very very good
Cars good mix 5 WRC's, 4 Group B's 5 2WD's + Others
Sound Outstanding absolutely awesome the sound of the wastegate
butterflys on the Group B cars is so evocative.

Minus
Same rally's as CM3 although new different Stages
It's not on the PC and I don't have a wheel for my Xbox (actually it's
my 7 year olds Xbox)

Huh?

How can you be writing about playing this game when it won't even be
released until 2004?!?
Here's the link to Codemasters website showing their racing games for
various platforms with release dates.

Released yesterday in the UK.  And pretty much worldwide except for
the US.

Awesome looking game.  Can't wait to try it on my HDTV.
My only regret is that Xbox appear to have any FF driving wheels...

Well.... I'll be dammed....

Why they make us poor Yanks wait 6 months to get titles that are released
currently in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world is beyond me!

I suppose the same must hold true for American racing, like NASCAR 2003, and
NASCAR Thunder 2004 probably not even being available in the UK or Europe,
or if so, not until sometime next spring...

You'd think game makers would want to make as much profit as possible so why
delay a title for one continent vs. another?

Oh well....

CMR 4 look great, hopefully they'll come out with a PC version that meets or
exceeds the PS2 / Xbox version, unlike CMR 3.

I guess rallying is a pretty low key sport in the US.

We got NASCAR 2003 very quickly in the UK and oddly it was being sold
by GAME for 14.99 ($25) over here.  I was going to buy a copy over
here and ship it to my best mate in the states as it was cheaper that
way!  I doubt we will get NASCAR Thunder I never saw the first version
over here and as I had already got NR03 I didn't bother to pick it up
on my last trip to the States.
Advertising and marketing lower profit, plus for the states thay have
to produce NTSC versions (I guess)

Very very much doubt it, I'm sure it will be a direct port of the
console game.  Shame I'd really like to play it with decent FFB on my
PC.  But it's fine on the Xbox and in my house Jay the wife does not
mind so much if I play on the Xbox after my son's bedtime while she
studies BUT if I dare to leave the room and go get some F1C or GPL in
on the PC well let's put it this way she's a redhead!
