GPL master?!?  Who lied to YOU? :-)

Where's the link to Kyalami and Mosport again?  I just tried it at LeMans.
I'll need some time to get used to the twitchy steering.  I'm finding it too
easy to get into a tank-slapper... :-(
Also, how do you change to a Mustang?  I couldn't see where it would let me
change that.
I just realized that the Kyalami and Mosport must be the PWF tracks...doh.
Ok, I'll see how badly I suck at Kyalami...<g>

I ran 3 laps before the 'jaggedness' of the display gave me a headache.  Best
time was a 1:21.9.  I upped the resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768.  That made
it a little better.  I got to a 1:20.3.  Yeah, I know - *way* off pace.  I
still have issues with framerate.  I'm only getting about 30 fps, and I don't
think that's enough to do anything well.  I'll 'assume' that my low framerate
it tied to whatever problem I saw with a low 3dmark number.  I still don't know
what's causing that, so it looks like I'm SOL...

Try turning the draw distance waaay down. 5% even. Turn off trackside
objects as  well.

Good idea about the car copy.  I'll do that now...

Assuming that works. what do I then use as brake markers?  That's always the
trade-off... :-(

I would like to get a copy of that too if you don't mind.  I have a 1:12
replay from Achim but it's on the converted Kyalami.  I want one on the PWF
Kyalami so I can get a look at the track markers that people are using.
TIA.

I'm going backwards, so I'm taking a day off...

I'm in the 15's (usually low 15's) fairly consistently, but I'm finding that
if I try any harder I end up back in the 16's.  I KNOW where I'm losing the
time (the kink after the long straight where you have to hard brake and
downshift into 3rd, and the sharp right-hander coming onto the long
straight).  I believe I'm losing a good second in those two corners...

I know I'm driving deep enough (second sign) into the first one.  Any
further and I end up in the Grandstands in a rather spectacular fashion :)

So long as I don't slow them down with my back bumper, that's all I care
about.

Getting booted out is my biggest worry at this race.  I've got SO much time
in it it will be devestating to be knocked out like that.

I may just take a prov for qual to stay at the rear at the start, and then
get into it once things are spread out a bit.  It's a long race so there is
plenty of time.

Which kinks are you talking about?  There are only two turns that I would
describe as kinks and they are both flat out.  The first one would be turn
3L, which is the Jukskei sweep.  It can be taken flat out, I have (other
people's:) replays to prove it.  The other is the kink going up the hill
towards the s/f line.  That is flat out even in GPL.
