Braking information in F12002

Is there any way to improve the braking information that I'm getting
in F12002?  I have anti-lock brakes off, but the only way that I find
out I'm locked up (either front or rear) whilst driving is that I
understeer or flip around (depending on where the lock is).

I'd like to be able to educate myself to getting closer and closer to
the limit of the braking, and modulate my input accordingly, but the
lack of much noise from the tyres, and the fact that the g-forces
don't make my chair lurch as grip gives way (!) means I'm nowhere near
understanding the limits properly.

I know I can retrospectively go into the telemetry to see the lockups,
but I'd like to be able to put 10-20 laps in where each time at
problem corners I can change my efforts on the fly.

Wouldn't it be useful if someone (I can't program!) could build some
sort of overlay which shows the four wheels maybe in green, and flash
red when a full lockup occurs to that wheel?  The data must be there
for the physics of understeer to take place, it's just that the
limitations of a FF wheel don't help me get as much info as I'd like
to understand my braking.

GPL / GP3 etc have much more sonic info to help drivers out, but F1
2002 doesn't.

Any ideas, ladies and gents?

The best thing I found to do is replace the skid sound with the one from
either NR2002 or GPL.  It allows you to hear the tires starting to slide a
lot better than the stock muted scrubbing noise.  Helps you read the grip
better everywhere else, too - not just under braking.  Maybe not exactly
realistic, but moreso than a graphical readout.  Didn't SBK or GP500 have a
readout like that?

Any suggestions as to how to achieve this?  Is it fairly straightforward?
