F12002 Demo: No brake skidding from late braking ...

Hi all,

F1 2002 is an awesome improvement from F1 2001. However, one flaw that
hasn't changed yet is the fact that the tires don't seem to suffer much from
late braking. What I mean is that I don't see any immediate effect from late
braking such as smoke coming out of the tires, whether it is rear or front.

Also, the car still seems to oversteer a bit when going into a slow corner.
Is this realistic?

Thanks.

This is all about setups and drivingstyle i guess.
I have no problems locking up the tires coming into a corner, and sometimes
i loose the car cause of that.
No oversteer into corners, or midapex, more like understeer, and then
changes to oversteer at exit.

Go into your .plr file and change the "steering help functionality" line.
The parameters are defined there for you, F12002 has extra grip set by
default. Also make sure the steering help is off in the game.

If you increase the brake presure with the new setups pages people have
provided you will lock the tires while trailbraking. I could not do that
until I increase the BP from 75% (default) to 85%

I think the oversteer and the overall behavior is very realistic.

Cheers

Fernando
