I am having hard time deciding between the two. Any comments, pro's con's of
either, appreciated.

I own the Linksys Router.  I've never had a problem yet, and it's been over
a year since I first used it.  Others might disagree.  (I recall this topic
coming up before, where some based the Linksys Router and attributed its
popularity to excessive advertising.)

Not much to say about the pros and cons of the Linksys.  I use it, hardly
touch it, except when configuring ports, etc.  It's pretty easy to use.
Again, I'm no Router Expert (nor am I an advertising guru), but I like the
Router for its ease of use and the fact that all you need to do is plug it
in, hook 'er up, and ignore it.   Like a wife.  :)

Nafi,

Same here.  My Linksys router is easy to use, and their tech support is
1st rate.

I'm not too big on my Linksys.  I haven't figured out why yet, but it's got
a *** habit of locking up once in a while.  Fixing it only requires
unplugging its power, then plugging it back in, but it still gets annoying.
It seems to be related to plugging computers into the network.

I get that with my LinkSys too, but I've heard certain types of
intrusion attempts can lock it up.  I see that as a kind of safety
feature.  :-)

It's been a very trouble-free router & I'd recommend it highly.

Looks like this model Linksys BESFX has finally caught up to Sohoware
NBG800.  They both have basically the same feature set (SPI,VPN) now so it's
more of a toss up than with the besfr41.  I had to reset my linksys daily
and have NEVER reset the sohoware.  This alone was worth the price of
admission :-)

BTW Hi Nafi how the Old Farts doin?  Say Hola for me!!

Thanks everyone for the input. The new Linksys sounds good, but it hasn't
been around enough for experience feedback. I heard many comments about that
resetting problem in the older model. That bothers me. I might go with the
Sohoware.

Hi Mitch! Old Farts are still kickin' :)) Now that you are not around,
others are winning too :) Stop by sometime.
