I am currently on the verge of beaking the 180mph barrier. Can anyone help me
with my setup? The groove is pretty straight forward, so I must be able to
make the car faster with the setup and still be driveable. My current qualify

Are you using analog braking and steering?  I found out that makes a big
difference.  Just wait until I get a new wheel and some pedals built!
Anyway, If anyone is interested, I'm willing to try keeping a database of ICR
setups.  I don't know exactly how much interest there is in this.  Please
send me a message if you're interested, and I'll see what I can do.

Hear are some hints.
If you are using the 93 car set use a buick engine and Penske93 chassis.
If you have the 95 car set use the menard and Penske94.

I prefer less stagger.

Try a bit more front wing and less rear wing.

Top gear for the menard should be about a 4.00

I prefer a stiffer front and softer rear.

Your shocks are way too soft and your tires are severly underinflated.  And once you  fix
that all of your cambers will need to be adjusted.  I also use a  track temperature of 80
degrees.

At the moment, I've only heard from three people.  Since there are many
possible configurations of engines and chassis, it would be hard to make
this a full-blown deal.  What I need is a few generous souls to send me
some setups - 93 or 94 car set - any or all courses.  I plan to organize
them into a compact text file with the player's name and optional best
lap time and conditions which will be available by e-mail request.  I'll
go ahead and put in my setups.  Hopefully there will be a correlation
between all the engine/chassis configurations to make it more useful.
All my setups are for the 93 Lola and Cosworth XB.  Anyone willing to trade?

Perhaps when ICR2 comes out, I can create a more useful database.

Yes, another fellow in the ladder got a hot 184 with the V6, and even though I
had already finished my race, I started playing with it. I never got it faster
than the car I used, but it isn't near dialed in yet.

Yes, had to totally revamp my ratios.

Even with only 3 gallons gas?

Thanks for the tips. That race is over now, and I have to race Vancouver buy
the 27th. Just about when the real race happens, and I have tickets. :) But I
will try to find time to improve that setup for next season.

Anyway, I am having trouble in Vancouver now. The best lap I have cut is a
57.5. Even with the computer cars at 98% I have a long way to make up. I know
this track inside out, but obviously I am taking a bad line somewhere. My
setup can be high downforce or high speed. I seem to do best with a modifies
easy setup, fast in the corners and a lot of wing, only 155 on the back
stretch. But, with the ace setup I can do almost as well, but just not quite.
It is most frusterating when I try to improve on either setup and get nowhere.

Here's the setups:

The high downforce setup at 57.663
Fuel:            8   gallons            1st Gear: 11.10
Steering Lock:   17  degrees            2nd Gear:  9.60
Stagger:        +0.000  inches          3rd Gear:  8.30
                                        4th Gear:  7.50
Front Wing:     12.50                   5th Gear:  6.90
Rear Wing:      12.00                   6th Gear:  6.50

Boost Level:     9
Front Anti-Roll: 2
Rear Anti-Roll:  2
Brake Bias:      7

   TIRE         COMPOUND     PSI      CAMBER     SHOCK
 Right Front    Soft          33      -2.24       65%
 Right Rear     Soft          34      -1.84       80%
 Left Rear      Soft          32      -1.60       55%
 Left Front     Soft          34      -2.24       40%

and the high speed setup:
Fuel:            10  gallons            1st Gear: 11.70
Steering Lock:   17  degrees            2nd Gear:  9.60
Stagger:        +0.000  inches          3rd Gear:  8.00
                                        4th Gear:  7.20
Front Wing:     11.00                   5th Gear:  6.60
Rear Wing:      10.75                   6th Gear:  6.10

Boost Level:     7
Front Anti-Roll: 4
Rear Anti-Roll:  4
Brake Bias:      5

   TIRE         COMPOUND     PSI      CAMBER     SHOCK
 Right Front    Soft          33      -2.00       50%
 Right Rear     Soft          35      -1.68       45%
 Left Rear      Soft          32      -1.44       55%
 Left Front     Soft          35      -2.08       30%

Any help will be much appreciated. I need to do well in this race in order to
pass the person ahead of me in the championship points. If I do well here, and
again in Laguna, I may catch him.

Incidently, I came in first at New Hampshire with the help I got. It was set
at 105% opponents, and I didn't take one guy out. We loose a point per guy we
take out, and that was my first clean race. :) Had a WICKED race setup, and
could run anywhere on the track and still average 175. :)

Thanks all, much appreciated.
