Great idea.  A sim where you have to get a fuel nozzle in the
hole.  You loose points if you can't do it in 1 second.  Then
you have to figure where the problem is, and you must decide
if it is better to send the car back out while you figure it out.

Sorry from me, too! But if you'd put that smiley in your first post,
there would have been no misunderstanding... 8^)

What I want to know is if it is givin that they have more horsepower and
less downforce, why did we need to see all the math to determine they
are faster. You engineers are so wild!!!;)

Thrust II has considerably less downforce and more horsepower than
an F1 car - it would do a markedly poor lap of silverstone however.  :-)

To do an accurate mathematical comparison of two cars would be meaningless
in isolation, even given correct data about each car. The data quoted at the
start of the thread is either rubbish or misinterpreted. The analysis was
even worse. To call the author an engineer is an insult to the profession.

Real testing is the best way to assess a car privately, and of course the
only real test is racing :-)Personally I'd rather be out in my single seater
anyday, rather than doing maths!!! Can't say I'd beat Mika or Michael though
:-(

Andy.

PS - I'd love someone to explain why everyone here thinks you can judge the
horsepower of a cars engine from it's top speed at a circuit? I must be
missing something here :-)

   He he...

If you correct all the spelling mistakes I make, you wouldn't
have time to drive the sims.

If Netscape's spell checker doesn't catch it, neither will I.
