GPL Timing Problem Observation

I just qualed at Monza at 129:58, not that significant, but I saved the
replay and stopwatched it 4 times, it's dead on, as close as i can push the
SW buttons. within .20 of a sec.

Last nite ran 8 laps out of 11 at mid 1:29's at monza, and same
test.....SW.......all dead on,
sooooooooooooooooo.........................those runs were dead on.

Have you maxed out your graphics settings to get it to run too slow so you
can test to see if it takes longer to run a 1:30 lap?

I have no knowledge of or special insight into how Papy programmed GPL so
this may be totally off the beam but I have noticed that the difference
between the real time that it takes for any particular lap and the time as
reported by GPL is very nearly what one would predict if GPL were performing
37 time slices per second instead of 36.  That is, for every second of real
time, the GPL clock is recording an extra 1/36 of a second.  So, for
example, a 1:30 lap at Monza would be reported as 1:32.5.  That fits almost
exactly with timings I have made and I think it is in line with the
discrepancies that others have reported.  Coincidence?  Probably, but I
bring it up for what it is worth.

I had exactly the same feeling, but was affraid to tell everybody,
affraid that everybody would laugh hysterically at me.
I did a lot of timing, and on my pc it's about 1.5 secs between real
time and gpl time at Monza. And my fps is around 37 too.
But this problem seems pc-dependant (hence the time differences
between you and me) and some people posted that they had no time
differences whatsoever. But before the patch nobody had this problem,
so let's just wait and see if it's ironed out in 1.2 ....

I got an idea, I'll just hold my breath until the next patch. Yeah,
that'll speed 'em up! ;-)
