Anyone know why I get the erroe message "can't load complete track..." when
I try to race trucks at Daytona & Pocono?

They both work fine with cars.

Cheers

Truck have their own set of setup files, with the extension .ttg, without
those files the trucks can't race at a specified track.  The car setup files
have the extension .stg

Here ya go Steve   ....   this is the stuff you need to know...  jv..

                       N3 TRUCKS TRACK CONVERSION

This will work on any N3 track.

You will be working with the track text file and the
track folder.

            COPY:    default.st1  TO  default.tt1
       race.st1     TO  race.tt1
       qual.st1     TO  qual.tt1
                     records.txt  TO  rectruk.txt

Now the next set of files to be copied are the ".stg" files.

            COPY:    ace.stg  TO  ace.ttg
                     easy.stg TO  easy.ttg
                     qual.stg TO  qual.ttg

Using "Note pad" or some other text editor, open the track text file.
Add four lines to the file for the trucks. Look for the
"SPDWY","BLAP","RELS",
and the "TIRES" lines in the text file. Insert a line
after each. The SPDWY line comes first. So after the SPDWY
line insert SPDWT , this will tell the trucks when to pit.

             Example:    SPDWY 1 158 168
                         SPDWT 0 158 168

After the "BLAP" line insert BLAPT.

               Example:  BLAP  15950
                         BLAPT 15100

The RELS line is next. Insert a RELST line. This
is the strength of the cars and trucks.

             Example:    RELS  102
                         RELST 101

The TIRES line is next. Insert a TIRET line. This
is the tire ware of the cars and trucks.

  Example:      TIRES 61000 4100 100000000 61000 3100 128000000 0
                TIRET 58000 4100 100000000 58000 3100 128000000 0

                              ENJOY !

When I edit the track text file do I enter the same figures for the trucks
that are already there for the cars.

Just a guess Dan...........  I'm not sure but I would assume the trucks have
slightly lower top speed., and less tyre wear.... ie blaps  rels and tires.
I would also assume that somewhere out there there will be some keen race
fan who could answer this question far better than me!

                                                            jv....
