Naturally it will....and makes for interesting cooking aromas and
occassi***pyrotechnic effects when the power is turned back on!!

   I remember Keytronic keyboards had a similar warning.  TM
programmable sticks, like the FLCS and F22, still do.  

   I think the issue is that these have microprocessors inside
that translate button and switch hits to key sequences of keys.  
Perhaps these micros must be shut down properly.  Perhaps you
are only running a tiny chance of hurting them if you don't.  

   Our wheels are just pots and wires, so I doubt that they are
vulnerable to this.
