>Wow.. awesome. I'll definately give those suggestions a try!

You probably won't be setting any record times with that approach, but
I can usually outqualify the NGT AI by 1-3 seconds depending on the
track.

If you're interested I can post the hotlap replays I have from the
tracks I've tested at so far.

The other thing I'd say is that for a full length race you might want
to bump the rear wing back up to 15 to compensate for the sudden loss
of grip when the tires wear.  I'd keep the diff low and I always run
with a 1 brake duct (otherwise it seems the brakes never heat up as
much as I'd like).  As far as rev limit/radiator goes you might want
to set them back to the default 4/8400 if you find you're blowing too
many engines, the only 100% race I've run so far was in the rain so I
can't really guarantee the motor will hold up.  Just make sure you
adjust the gearing to so you aren't smacking the limiter in 6th gear
if you choose to lower it.

I'm pretty bad at setting up a car, so I tend to focus on things that
make a huge difference and getting the tire temps even.  The other
thing that seems to work well is running the rear bar as soft as it
will go for maximum grip at the rear (will help compensate for the low
rear wing as well) and soften the front bar to about the same value
then raise/lower it slightly until you get a good balance.  I'm awful
at tuning shocks so I'll stop with that.

A 25% diff rocks.  You can really feel the car trying to turn when you
release the brakes (assuming you're off the throttle) and putting the
gas down *** exits keeps the car turning nicely

The 360 is definitely my favorite car in the game.  As long as you run
short gears and use 2nd for the hairpins/90's you can really pound the
throttle without a lot of wheelspin and the oversteer/understeer seems
more manageable than with other cars.

Lemme know if you want me to post those replays and setups.

What are you guys getting stop and go penalties for?  Passing under

Until they come up with a code worth a damn, access dollars would be few
and far between too.   Oh well, pound a few Mark IV's with your Sturmovik in
the meantime <g>

Most likely Blue Flag violations.  You have two warnings to let a car by,
if you get the third flag you get a stop and go.  This has been a problem
since F1 2k.  Say you stop early or spin and get new tires.  You may be
running faster than the leader, but since you are a lap down, the moment you
PASS the leader you get a blue flag warning.  You must break contact with
the car you just passed very quickly.  This can usually be done if you are
passing one car.  But if you catch a line of cars you will be cooked.  There
is no way to pass the cars fast enough to avoid a Blue Flag stop and go if
your in a line of cars...Brutal penalty.  it doesn't take into consideration
your lap times vs the fellows in front of you...only your position on the
leader board in releation to the passees.

GTR2002 First 100% length race! Impressions...

It goes like this... I qualify at the back of the grid in the PSI Porsche...
by the time I've safely made my way passed the N-GTs I'm about to be lapped
by the faster GT cars. Up to about 5th place laps me (meanwhile we've
pitted, the N-GTs haven't). The leading GT car is hesitant to re-lap one of
the N-GTs, so you pass both of 'm into a corner. A twisty section follows
and they stick to you. You get a blue flag for the GT car you've just
unlapped yourself from eventhough there's an N-GT car in between. This
happens for 3 corners in a row and the game blacks flags you as per F1
rules. And there's nothing you can <bleep>ing do about it as, even though
you slow, the N-GT doesn't get out of the way of the GT (and doesn't get
BF'd). Absolutely, <bleep>ing infuriating.

I may be green but no martian.  Your first recorded time is Donny so once
you get some laps under your belt, the times will come down.  FWIW...my
so-called fast time is only something like 136th.  Not in the sharp end of
the list for sure.
I did knock 2 seconds off my Magny time..I had tried the new 24H Viper but
I couldn't keep the tires from squealing.  It has Michelins.  I went back to
the ART Viper I've run most and the Pirelli's seemed to be very much nicer.
My lap times dropped immeadiately.  Then after running second online(the 2nd
place guy got a Black Flag)...I crashed out.  broke both front wheels...2nd
time in two weeks I've done that.
(keep repeating...Road Good, Wall Bad)

Using the definalt race settings (The 360_DA_V3) or whatever, during my last
100% race, the fastest lap at Spa was 2:26.xx and most laps are around
2:28.xx.

Thanks for the help with the settings though, I'll try to customize a
setting for the 360. I agree, the car is very nice to drive. Easy enough so
the whole race isn't white-knuckle, and pretty darn fast and VERY beautiful!
