>Your bike has a steering wheel??

Nope, but they do have handle bars that steer the wheel though.

On a real bike you would just give a slight steering input and lean
into it on a sharp bend. It's not all just leaning into a corner to
navigate a corner. I know that much from just riding bicycles, and so
should you. :-)

Yea, it's a bit awkward, but I'm starting to get used to it already.
Qualifying with the back of the pack at least now. This game is
amazing with stereoscopic glasses on. I *really* want an F1 sim that
looks as good as this. Here's hoping EA's next F1 sim is just that.
Maybe F1RC will be good after the patch and then I will have what I
want.

Slight input and sharp (i.e. slow) bend being the operative words there. I
had a vision of you trying to stay somewhat upright by really steering the
bike... like first-timers when they attempt a slalom.

No, I was a mountain biker for years so know a bit about bikes. Just
not ones with motors. BTW, I switched from joystick to MSPP wheel and
my times have increased rapidly. Even qualified in 1st on one round. I
think that detent at the centre position on the MSPP is finally paying
off. Using a stick for acceleration/brakes/steering is too awkward.

Was anyone tried one of those motion sencing game pads? I think Microsoft
has one in its Sidewinder line. This would be my best guess for a bike sim.
I have a friend that uses one with Motocross Madness, but thats not a good
game to "test" it on.

I use to race Dirt Motorcycles Professionally and road raced at times. I
feel
a good FF joystick works great in SBK2001.. Also don't take MM2 lightly
either!! Try their SuperCross & their other 'genres' to see how hard it
really
is & no cheating now!.. <g> It surprised me!......Cheers Thom_j.

Yea, that would probably be really good for steering, but there is no
analog throttle/brake control on a game pad. Gas/brake either on/off
is bad. If you can use your  analog pedals and the pad at the same
time I expect it would be the ultimate setup for a bike sim.

If I remeber right it had a roller on it, but I can't swear to it. That
still wouldn't do anything for the braking unless you did it as combined
axis with the gas
