Hello Alan,

There's a huge world of MTM2 stuff out there.  You wouldn't know it from this group though.
Try www.vales.com , www.gzteam.com and also www.zone.com.  You'll find dozen's of track & trucks
and hundreds of racers to prove how much skill is required to make those trucks go fast!

Best Wishes,
Scott

You're right. There is a huge amount of info available but not much here at
r.a.s. KC's site is excellent. The best MTM2 drivers are as good as any I've
seen in any sim. I just competed in the MS Vegas Challenge Tournament  last
weekend (tied for 5th) and the top drivers are an amazingly talented group.
I look at MTM2 as a great alternative to the seriousness of the sims.
Sometimes I need a break from them so as not to get burned out. I beta'd the
game starting back in Feb. and yet I still get a laugh and a thrill from the
on-line racing. I'm also creating a track which is almost complete. It's
been an education.

Well, good drivers don't make a game a sim, do they?

Agree, I loved the demo...

I tend to view MTM2 as a game/sim combo which is how I believe it was
developed. Any driving software which tests my driving and racing skills as
much as MTM2 does, and provides the level of competition that it does (with
it's online ability), certainly qualifies as being worthy of discussion here
at r.a.s. Considering the level of many of the discussions at r.a.s., I
often wonder what the worth of r.a.s. actually is?  :-)   It also possesses
some components (graphics engine, internet play feature) which are
considered by many as the best in driving games to date.

I don't know much about real Monster Trucks, but from what I've heard, they
can do 0-70 in 4.5 secs. I think if the unrealistic level of air time you
get in MTM2 was reduced, you'd have a pretty accurate sim of off road
driving. A "Monster Truck" gives some people the impression of something
bizarre I guess. Change the truck graphics to a more traditional off road
vehicle, and reduce the air time (both easily done), and those same people
view it as a "sim" possibly?

If you loved the demo, why don't you get the full version? A CART or F1 sim
is my first love, but MTM2 provides a very fun and challenging racing
experience and also helps get rid of that sim burnout I mentioned.
