PSP>Paintkit (N2) ???

by Goy Larse » Wed, 13 Aug 1997 04:00:00

Hi everybody

I`m for the first time trying to paint my own car, the result isn`t half
bad (yeah right), but I can`t import it back to paintkit. Palette is
corrupted ??? I even downloaded Chris Fredericks paintkit assistant
(thanks Frederick), he mentioned this problem, but I still can`t figure
out what I`m doing wrong. I use PSP4,... (can`t remember) I`ve loaded
the palette and not loaded the palette, I`ve taken a blank template.pcx,
opened it in PSP, didn`t change one pixel, saved it(with or without
loading the palette), imported it to Paintkit = palette is corrupted =
one very frustrated guy. Help, pleeeeeease.......

Beers and cheers
Goy

Export a car .pcx file out of nascar2.  Open it with psp, then open your
custom .pcx file.  Cut the entire white area out of your custom car (make
sure that your custom car had fredericks palette loaded) and paste it into
the white area of the exported .pcx file.  Do not cut out any of the pink
area, and do not paste over any pink area in the exported car.  For more
info try my painting guide which I believe is at
http://www.geocities.com/~foxman/nascar2_paint.html.
