Run mgamon.exe (which comes with the bios 1.4 zipfile from the Matrox Web site) and slect
a standard SVGA monitor description (this will write a line to your config.sys file for
DOS -F8-). This worked for me - hope it helps.

Has anybody experienced any problems running this game with
the above mentioned hardware ??????????  It ran fine on my old
1Mb cheapo card, but my new 4Mb Matrox is not quite so happy.

When selecting Championship season, the FIA logo comes up
and then the screen just switches off and I have to reboot !!!!!!

I experience this problem running under Win95 and DOS also.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

It is more likely that you simply have to upgrade the BIOS to 1.4 (the
latest version).  This alone solves the problems of screen blanking on the
Mystique at the opening of GP2.

Hi Grant,
Have you tried updating the cards BIOS to version 1.40? It may help,
but I have never had any problems with the Mystique and GP2.

Darren :-)

Yupp. Version 1.3 or higher of the Mystique BIOS fixes the problem with
GP2...It was the first Flash BIOS update I tried as I'm usually very wary
of the things(if it goes wrong your stuffed) but it worked fine and I no
longer have to use GP in VGA mode...
