Murasama.
Someone asked if the Murasama is competitive. Well, I've won a number
of races on VROC with it, and gotten quite a few podium finishes. Like
the Coventry, the Murasama is forgiving, though not quite to the extent
that the Coventry is. But it's considerably faster.
The setups in my new collection are even better than what I was using
online. I found something on Friday that made the car work much better,
and the new setup collection incorporates this in all the setups.
The Murasama is the most powerful car in GPL, and the engine is simply
fabulous. The Murasama also has excellent brakes, and, with these new
setups, it handles very well. Yes, its weight is a handicap against the
lighter cars, but it is still very fast and, like the Coventry, you can
be very consistent with it.
The default setups for the Murasama had a flaw in them that made it
difficult to handle, very prone to swap ends. After a lot of work, I
found a fix. With my setups, the Murasama's handling is as sweet as can
be.
Take a look at a comparison of my best times with the Murasama and the
Eagle:
Mura. Eagle
Kyalami 1:23.37 1:22.36
Mexico 1:52.49 1:51.30
Monaco 1:32.54 1:32.69
Mosport 1:24.82 1:24.23
Rouen 2:02.65 2:00.78
Spa 3:26.26 3:24.30
Zand. 3:28.17 1:27.91
I can be more consistent with the Murasama, and I'm pretty sure that
over a race distance, I'm quicker with it than I would be with the Eagle
at most tracks.
I'm convinced that the Murasama's potential has barely been tapped. If
a few of those hotshoes who only ever drive the Lotus, Ferrari or Eagle
would try my setups and run the Murasama for a week, I am sure we would
see a lot of shocked Lotus drivers in their wake!
