Can I run GPL on a TNT 1 ???

by amos-opu » Thu, 25 May 2000 04:00:00

I used to run GPL on a TNT with 36fps in exterior view, 20fps in
interior..the latter no fun i agree, but it did work faultlessly (on a
P2/400)

Having just a little trouble with the combination of "no fun" and
"work faultlessly."  <g>

  lets see what does the poster mean by "perfectly"  here's the test,
with the mirrors set to full on, no registry hacking, and running v1.2
of GPL can any TNT or GeWhiz card produce 36fps in the***pit?

  If you mean he can run it perfectly at 25fps, then we have a
disagreement.  If you mean he can run it perfectly at 36fps from
the Nintendo F10 ARCARD Tail Gunner view, then we again have
a disagreement.  If you mean after hacking the registry and limiting
the mirror updates to every two or 4 or 8 frames, then once again,
we have a disagreement.

With the following I can obtain from***pit view 32-36FPS external 36+FPS

Also included is my Force feed back setting for Logitech wheel..

maybe it may help you..
[ Int Profile Values ]
value0 = OpenGL:TossHighestMip:0         ; do not change
value1 = OpenGL:MipFiltering:0                ; do not change
value2 = OpenGL:MirrorsEvery:0                ; do not change

[ OpenGL ]
TossHighestMip = 1                       ;
MipFiltering = 4                        ;
MirrorsEvery = 4                       ;

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1                 ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 0.0               ; force feedback damping
coefficient
force_feedback_latency = 0.08500        ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 300.000000         ; steering torque in N*in giving
max device force
