T2 Bungee Replacement

by B Stewar » Sat, 19 Apr 1997 04:00:00

Took my T2 apart to clean the pots and noticed that the bungee on the wheel
is wearing pretty thin.  Looks pretty simple to replace, but thought I'd
see if anybody else has done this and, if so, are there any recommendations
on bungee size, tips, etc.  Thanks.

Barry,

Go to www.thrustmaster.com  , then find tech support or replacement
department, forget where its at but tell them the bungee is going bad
and they'll send you a new one for free.  its real easy to replace too.

T2 Bungee Replacement

I 'fixed' mine with a new bungee cord (about a $1 for a pkg of 2). I
just got a size close to the original's. I used a couple of cable ties
on each side to 'tension' the cord (rather than the method that
Thrustmaster had used).

I believe Thrustmaster will replace the bungee fairly cheaply (if not
free) http://www.thrustmaster.com

Good Luck,
Alan
