That happened to me a couple of times, the car graphics sort of
flashed.  It was while I was on the straight, at first I assumed it
was as somebody was joining server but there were no messages that
corresponded.  Never happened in traffic and didn't seem to hurt
anything.

I'm running a ti 4200 and the fps was up in the triple digits at the
time.

GeForce 4 Ti 4200, 128 meg, 53.03 drivers, no FSAA, no AF, megashader turned
on in the player file (or wherever it is).  Have not seen this happen under
any other circumstances ever.

Same situation for me, I'm running a T1 4200 also, and I was typically
getting fps in the 90 to 110 range during practice.

So what was your alternative?  Sit there and watch the race go by?

Damage was off, so I should have waited for someone to gently knock me off
the bunker.  Probably would've only lost a lap.

Ah, ok.  But, someone would have to know that you were high-sided, and not just
waiting for traffic to clear.  And, they'd have to be willing to detour for a
sec to knock you loose. :-)

The reason I ask is that this sounds similar to the problem I STILL have
with the 9800 Pro.  If I have too many cars in the field, or if I turn up
the AA and AF too high, I start getting flashy graphics _inside_ the car.
It's like the car disassembles itself and scatters parts across the screen.

Actualy, Tim told us about his condition at TS.
I asked him if he wanted to wait for me to get there, but I think a 3 min
wait on top of a sand bunker is a very long time .... :D

I let everyone know my situation on Teamspeak.  Jurgen was kind enough
to offer(thks) but I'm kinda impatient....
Any chance you'll be joining us Sat.?
