Nascar 2 is the most bug filled piece of software I have ever paid
for. I have seen freeware that is much better. I guess the Sierra
purchase really made Papyrus buckle under the presure...
too bad...Use to be such a great company, now just another money
hungry cheap bug filled software company.

Come on!!  Can we please be constructive and list the bugs ?  I also
believe that there are some bugs that need fixing and I still feel that the
games needs a save race weekend feature.  However, unless you are willing
to list the bugs and try and get them fixed - what is the point ?

I would gladly pay you $4.00 for N2.  You could receive double it's
worth, help a citizen, and clear your conscience all in one shot.
What a bargain!!!!

Have you tried the rendition version of Nascar2 ? Makes GP2 look like garbage.
I think "Bugs aside" that Nascar2 is the best racing sim too date.
But you are right, All these software companies are HUGE and make millions of
dollars on there software. Microprose has yet too even confirm a patch for
GP2. and it took quite a while for Papy too patch up Indy 2, which is not
finished yet. they got us by the balls, and they know it.
Looking at the GP2 box it reads "Recommended P-90 with a 1 meg video card"
Well we all know that is a complete lie. I will never buy anything from them
again. And the verdit is still out on Sierra and Creative Labs for me being
that I own a 3D Blaster.....Time will tell......I do not feel optimistic for
some reason.
Your dealing with big business,  Big business has ONE goal, make Money.
And you and I are the suckers that give it too them....
So what you going too to about it ?

Bruce,

Did you make that post after a bad race day? :-)  N2 has a lot of good
things going for it.  Yes, there are some bugs, but I honestly believe
they will be addressed in a timely matter.  (at least I hope)  I don't
think I've ever purchased a software title that DIDN'T need a patch!

All I can say is that you must not buy much software or even operating
systems. . .  Or maybe you are inferring that you "pirate" most of your
buggy software? ;-)

Right on,,, this game is a piece of %$^&*(.
What are you trying to simulate?? I have to run a 5.30 gear on
Taladega and still can't get the car above 9K on the Tac..
The garage screen won't show the right camber setting with the
graphic. the graphic is straight up and down but the text shows a
setting of -1.7----which one's right.
The sound setup sucks...the auto detect doesn't work, not on my
machine or my buddy's, we were planning on having some modem play, but
both of us are planning on returning our game.
The game locks up and has to be hard reset on a regular basis.
Cannot run in either DMA mode or Rendetion mode.

I could go on...and on....and on....   IT SUCKS......
This is on a Tyan VX MB, Intel p133, MGA Milluim w4mg WRAM vidio.

The graphics are cool, but at what a price.....well,,I'll just keep
playing my NCR1 until a GD version of the game is released.

Am I going to be expected to buy some kind of track pack upgrade $$$$
now in order to get this pre-release software to work????

I have not seen any software that didn't need a patch either! (well,
except for a few programming assignments that I did last term).  I
think it would be very difficult not to have any bugs in NASCAR 2.  If
you consider that the full install is 100 megabytes and probably a lot
of that space is taken up by sound files and graphics.  There is
still, however, many megabytes of source code that has been written,
try and write an 800,000+ lines of code with out making any mistakes!

Before you go blasting a company for making a bad game, at least think
a little.  Do you have a Rendition 3D accelerator?  No, you have a
Matrox Millennium!  The 3D accelerated versions of the game you are
trying to run are specifically designed for use on the Rendition cards.
Why would you expect them to work on your card?

Well why don't you buy a Verite/Rendition card before running the rendition
version of the game dumbass!!!!!!!!!!
