I've had Goback on my system for the past 2 years or so, and I have noticed no
performance hit on games whatsoever.  After first installing, there's a LOTS of
hard drive activity.  Same thing when upgrading from one version to another.
But after that, I see no negatives to it -- as long as you can sacrifice 10% of
your hard drive space.

That said, I hope that it doesn't create any problems for me when I install my
new motherboard this weekend (using the same HD and other system components).  I
don't expect it to cause any problems.... (Knock wood)

Well that's exactly what I did to restore back when I had the problem two
days ago, but the only registry backups were dated of April 2001.

Weird!    ;-)

I can only assume that Registry Checker has been disabled since then. Windows
does have an annoying habit of losing settings, perhaps it got disabled after a
BSOD event.

How do you do this in Win 2k?

Couldn't tell you Stuart, I'm sticking with Win98 for now. Enter
Registry backup/restore in your Help search and at Microsofts site, I'm
sure you'll find the info.
