SCGT really is addictive...

Well, I did not want to become a SCGT promoter,..., basically I am
a GPL guy - not very good, though. But SCGT (with the realism patch
("Advanced Options...")!) really takes you. Now I have qualified to the
GT2, and I am running my first season of 8 races. In the first 4 I've
been 1st in my BMW, 44 points. The next driver (AI) has 24 points.
But there are still 4 races and I cannot take it too relaxed; Only 2
races may change the position...

I'd really like to see, what new tracks and cars I get, if I manage
to win this GT2 series! (Oh yes, I know there are cheats, but I do not
want to use those... :-)

As the subject says: SCGT really is an ***ive game! Or sim?
Anyhow, the feel of driving a real car is quite good!

[well, comments to your own posts are quite pathetic...]:

The feel of driving in SCGT is nearer to my real driving experieces
(lately a Citroen BX19GTi) than the (very real?) experiences of
driving those -67 monsters...  ;-)

I wasn't crazy about it until I tried the demo with the realism patch.
That hooked me hard.
I'm running a GT2 season with a V-12 Vector (the worst supercar ever
made? <g>). and loving every minute of it.
I was reluctant to get the Vector, but I was tired of using 911's for
every class. Since I smoked GT3 with an unmodified 911, I had enough
money for the Vector *and* a GT2 Porsche. If only real life was so
nice.

As each new track is introduced, I just run it until I'm out of gas.
I've never just hot-lapped like that with any other game/sim.
There's something intangible about it that really keeps me into it.
After I burn up 26 gallons, I put 5 back in and qualify. :)

Basically, I'm doing one track a day, although now I'm back to running
a lot of earlier tracks in a faster class of car.

Donnington kicked my ass. That was the only place where I finished
dead last in my GT2 race.

I think I'll be playing this one daily for a long, long time.
