There's an old joke about the blank stares weekend racers get from their
friends or family after explaining what all that "junk" in the garage is.
The usual reaction is "You do this for fun, right?"

And so it goes... This GPLRank/hotlapping stuff makes the seven hour weekend
event seem a grueling, meaningless form of self-torture. I have to confess
that lapping with a full tank, well off the hotlap pace, feels more like
work than the fun it used to be.

  I have slowly worked my way up to full length GPs. Managed to win my first
full length season in the Lotus, so now I am giving the Eagle a go
(currently leading going into the Glen).
  I have full race results and lap times for all my races (just counted
them - the Glen is my 135th race!!!), including full race replays. Geez, I
must be mad!!
  GPL - what an awesome sim! I used to love GP2, but GP3 has been very
disappointing for me thanks to GPL's very high standards. Thanks alot
