CPR-T2 Calibration

CPR-T2 Calibration

Here's a tip that may help a few of you with CPR. I was a Gold Preview
winner of CPR and have had the game for 5 weeks now. I THOUGHT I had my T2
calibrated perfectly all this time but today I re-calibrated , pressing the
gas and brake pedals at least 4 times during the calibration process. Some,
like me, may have only pressed the pedals twice. This has made a
significant difference in the smoothness of the throttle and brake and
improved the car's handling. Any slight improvement in performance is
critical. The difference in the throttle acceleration may not be
noticeable, but it definitely is during deceleration. This is especially
important on road courses when slowing down into a turn. Also, some people
have said that the cars, when sitting still (why would you be sitting still
on the track anyway?), have wheel spin. It may be that the throttle is
idling too high and this tip may solve that. I can't say what the affect is
on other controllers, but the re-calibration tip may still help.

 Handy,
Your e-mail address wasn't any good for some reason. Write me back and
I'll send you the info you asked for. Thrustmaster's web site has detailed
info on calibration. I think it's thrustmaster.com.

CPR-T2 Calibration

Here's one for you..

I got CPR when it was first released and everything worked great (except
for the known things such as framerate etc).. by this I mean my T2 was
working awesome with it.  Sooo.. that night I decide to try out
multiplayer on internet.  I register with the website etc and join a game
with one other person.  We finally get the game launched and *bam* my T2
doesn't work anymore.  PERIOD.  win 98 will not recognize it (Yes, I did
say 98, we have it through MSDN).  So I quickly switch controllers over to
a Gravis gamepad pro (Ever try driving an indy car with one of these?
It's not pretty) and it works fine.  Now no matter what I try in windows
it will not even recognize that I have a T2 connected.  I've chosen with
adapter, without adapter, disabling polling on interrupts.

Any ideas where to go next?  I haven't been able to race since this
happened :(

Thanks

You need to turn of the Pedals/Rudder check box for it to recognise it. God
knows why but thats what you have to do then it should work fine. Personally I
find the T2 (Read Analog) too floaty for me. The Digital gamepads seem to work
better though it's very clunky and unrealistic. Hopefully the patch will
address the analog problem.
