T2 & GP2 - calibration problem

by Badrulhisham Bahadz » Tue, 23 Jul 1996 04:00:00

Hi !

I've turned off steering help but i'm left with a very sensitive wheel
particularly at high speed, so i played around with the
settings of max lock/reduce with car speed/low sensitivity zones, but failed
to get the best one.

Can someone help me with this (T2 owners)? If possible, please post
your wheel settings.

regards,
hisham.

I have the high speed sensitivity for steering set at 80% which did
wonders to help me from spinning at high speed doing small wheel
corrections, the other setting for the steering I left at 60% which is the
default setting if I am not mistaken, I am not at home right now so can't
verify.

These settings really helped to make the driving a lot more stable for me
and reduce the number of spins I was having.

Great game, unequaled in the driving model, really like the
configurability of the controls too.

Hope that helps.

Mmmmmm. At the default setting, I found the T2 (wheel SH=off naturally)
to be fairly 'tame', and needing some adjustment to 'slightly' higher
sensitivity at speed if anything.

Perhaps your joystick port may be the problem. What type of j/port are
you using?

Soon. Let me experiment a little.

I also an having a problem with too much sensitivity. I have a P133
andam using the Thrustmstr game card.. with white adapter. Maybe these
combinations have something to do with it?

A friend of mine has the T2. He is having no probs. Thge trick was to
calibrate it in reverse order. I assume this means do the b joystick bits
first. I dont have a T2, but we played on his for 6 hours straight! No
problems. Hope this helps
