Ed,

Please tell Adam to MAKE SURE that when Tally gets redone, if drivers try and drive
below the white line, they will get punted into the wall at 190+ mph!!!

It is ridiculous the lines people take, no matter how unrealistic!  There is no
safe way around the track, the real drivers can't run those lines and we shouldn't
be able to either.

my 2 cents.

Of course if the real drivers could find a way around by going below the
line and if it was faster, you can bet your ass they would use it... just
like people racing now.

Taladega is a seriously flawed track which will be corrected in NASCAR 2. In over 100
races at Taladega I have observed the following.
1. 10% of the cars will be out at the start because someone didn't already have the
accelerator down when the green flag dropped.
2. Another 10% to 20% will be taken out entering the back straight because of the
bottleneck coming off the turn.
3. Another 10 to 30% will be taken out coming off the back straight because everyone is
going 200 mph and trying to get the bottom line.
4. The remaining cars have approximately two seconds to get in single file before
entering the tri-oval and there just ain't no way no how. Scratch another 15% of the
cars.
5. Scratch another 10% trying to go through the tri-oval two wide.
6. Scratch another 10% who make it through but run head on into those who didn't.
7. At this point the field has narrowed to 10 to 12 cars and we can go racing.
