Eddie Irvine thinks Console racing games occupy too much of young
drivers' time. They're not "living life enough" according to Eddie.

Yeah... where the hell's Eddie Irvine getting that idea? Right, I'm off to
get N4 tomorrow but first I'll complete all 78 Monaco laps before bed on

(i couldn't visit this page, too slow...  so apologies if below
repeats whats on that page...)

on last week's radio5 formula 1 prog, there was a long conversation
with Irvine and Ian Phillips (Jordan bigwig
something-or-other). Irvine made a similar comment in that, and they
both had a go at Montoya, young upstarts with no character,
Villeneuve(sp!) and cart racing, which was all pretty entertaining.

I agree, most console racing games will teach young drivers very little.

  NONONO!   Just think, if we take all these kids that learn to race via
consoles....just think of it...we'll have a generation of Hang Gliders that
can race flying behind a race car...
