Does anyone know what the qualifications are for the compusa rebate for
the nascar and viper sims?  ($24.99-$24.99=FREE=Smiling Racing Fan) What
trade-ins do they want?

I read the coupon, and it said you need s sports game by either
EA, Accolade, Access, GT Interactive, or Eidos. So I picked up
Jack Nickelous 4 for $5.99 and think that qualifies :-)

BTW, that rebate is for the game in general and not something special
at CompUSA.  I also was at a local Babbages and saw that they
removed *ALL* the coupons from their NR1999 games. You can still
see the sticky marks where the coupons used to be. When I asked
about it, the manager said the coupons were removed by the MFR.

Right...

At my local CompUSA, I noticed this too.  But they did have the
stickers on the boxes just a couple weeks ago, so I wonder whats going
on.

A sports title from a competitor.  Note, however, that the CompUSA
ad is in error.  It lists NASCAR 2 (at $24.99) as being part of that
rebate plan.  N2 is NOT one of the games Sierra offers this deal on.
They DO offer it for NASCAR 1999, but the game is $44.99 at CompUSA --
not $24.99.  It's still a net-to-zero rebate, of course; it just will
cost you more up front.

>Where did you get this information?

He certainly didn't get it from Sierra's actual rebate coupon.
It specifically lists the titles that are supported by this offer,
and NASCAR 2 is not one of them.  It's all their new releases (some
yet to be released): NASCAR Racing 1999 Edition, NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Racing, Viper Racing, Football Pro 99, etc., etc.

Is this going to be an add-on for N2? If not, then somebody please fill me in.
Thanks!

I'm thinking it will be, as its MSRP is listed at $24.99 (and current
sale price at $19.99 -- too bad it hasn't actually shipped yet).  That
seems to be about on par with what the BGN pack was.

This is kinda sneaky, and I wonder if Sierra knows this is going on?

Am I missing something?

Why do we need this, when N99 has the trucks and all the tracks already?
