Check Randy Magruder's review at digitalsports.com.  He's probably the best
racing reviewer out there.

I like them both, actually... I'm having trouble with stuttering
graphics with CM2, tho!

I have an Asus A7V with latest bios flash(1007) , 1ghz Athlon T-bird,
256mb PC133 CAS2, and Geforce DDR and about half to three-quarters the
way thru *any* stage the screen gets *very* "busy", with jerking and
jumping badly... Very hard to control the car that way!

I've tried about 10 different nVidia drivers and even lowered the
graphics settings on the game, but no matter how smooth each stage
starts out, it ends the same :(

I've checked and the card is running at 4x AGP, so that's not it.. Any
other ideas?

Not only that, but I *have* the Mobil 1 game and thought I couldn't
join the online league because I had the wrong version! :(

Thanks for asking!

I had a similar video stuttering problem which was fixed when I
successfully enabled DMA (ATA-33) on my new HD.

There are various posts around (sorry, don't have direct reference) re
audio codecs and stuttering.  They may help.  They helped a bit for me,
although the big improvement was moving from a Gigabyte to an ASUS
motherboard.

In my case the drive was set to ATA-100 but the MB only supports ATA-33.
Once I adjucted the HD firmware to ATA-33 all was smooth.

Hmmm... I'm running ATA100 drive with DMA enabled already.. BTW, I'm
using Paragon Virtual CD to create an image of the cd, so I can do a
minimum install to the hd, and put the original cd back in the case,
for safekeeping!  I doubt that this is a problem, however, because I
tried the full install to the hd and it made no difference..
