I was able to get it working under Windows 98/Me, but not 2k.
On the Risoluzione tab, use 16/9 aspect ratio, 36 fps (or less),
check the Mantieni fisso Aspect Ratio check box, and Larghezza less then
1200-1300
by something. On the Cattura tab, launch GPL (if the button is grayed out,
make sure you have an fps rate selected on the Risoluzione tab), and
select the Indeo video 5.04 compressor; leave the compression
options alone. After you pick your compressor, you should get a dialog
with the Function key descriptions (F1 -4x, F2 -3x,...,F4 1x, F5 2x,...,F8
pause
(very useful for switching cars and cameras mid-film)). It'll be in Italian.
If you don't get this dialog, it's not going to work. Go back and reduce
the Larghezza value a bit. If you do get the dialog, it's probably going to
work.
When GPL starts, go to your replay; when you're ready to start filming,
press
F-something (F4 is actual speed). It will start (or restart) the replay for
you.
After you're done filming, hit ESC and exit GPL. You should get a dialog
exclaiming
"Salvataggio del Filmato avvenuto!"; and you should have a hefty avi file.
If this
doesn't work, keep tinkering with the Risoluzione settings and different
compressors.
