No kidding.  But all I said was "give it a chance".  You have a problem
with that?

You completely misinterpreted what I said.  Excuse me for suggesting you
give this game a chance.

I drove Professional Sports Car Racing for 6 hours and was very impressed,
and this is from someone who thought the demo's of Viper Racing and Monaco
Racing F1RS2 sucked pretty bad. You guys should be thankful there even is a
Sports Car racing sim, I don't see anyone else making one. And I don't think
its fair looking at one feature and pronouncing the game sucks because there
is no this or no that. If everything we wanted to be in a sim was there it
would take developers 10 years to make a sim. When GP3 comes out in 6 or 7
years people will still scream it doesn't have this or that. Just look at
GPL, by far the best sim to date, I still can't believe I saw people on this
NG saying some bad things about it, complaining it didn't have rain, weather
effects, pit stops, and had bad multiplayer. I'm just kinda sick of all this
negative crap. We spend some $2000-3000 on hardware in a 2 year span to play
the latest sims, but in the last 2 years there has only been 3 sims
released, lets see 1 was awesome, dont have to mention the name, other
sucked bad, and third was ok. When a cool promising looking sim is about to
come out we should support the developer, and maybe help them out (sending
email to ISI helped get in-car view back in) to make sure the most important
features get in. Most developers won't even listen. And ISI didn't have an
easy road making this sim. Remember EA bought out ***, now go look at
EA's site and tell me if you see anything about Professional Sports Car
Racing, NO you probably won't see a thing. ISI had demo done a while ago but
EA didn't give them permission to release it. If PSCR doesn't do good forget
about a sequel with possibly Le Mans in there if they get the license. It
would be nice having another company making good sims and not waiting 3
years for Papy to release an open wheel sim. And considering how CUC/Sierra
looks there might not be a Papy for long. Laying off 30+ guys, moving Nascar
3 development to Russia, I'm sorry but what do Russias know about Nascar
Racing, well I'm not a Nascar fan so I dont really give a shit, Though CART
2000 may be made by guys who really don't know the much about CART Racing,
and you guys though CART Precision Racing was bad.

Um, its just the art that may be farmed off to a subsiduary of CUC in
Russia. Not the programming of the games.

Um...Nowhere did I mention either...What I said was this:

"Much of the work that was once handled in Watertown might instead be
going to a CUC affiliate in Russia, possibly in an attempt to trim the
fat by lowering overhead, and ultimately making Papyrus more attractive
to potential buyers."

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly was "the work that was once
handled in Watertown"?

Watertown is a small town near Boston, and is where Papyrus is located.

Cheers!

>Watertown is a small town near Boston, and is where Papyrus is located.

Meaning that most of Papyrus' work will be done in Russia in the
future? ZIL racing? Moskwich Cup 2000? I was hoping that there maybe
was just a small dependance of Papy in Watertown, being responsible
for the artwork or cover design... I have to hope these rumors aren't
true! Nothing against Russians in general, some of my best friends are
Russians (no, that isn't true, but I know a few Russians and they are
nice people AFAI can tell, only they drink a bit too much), but what
do they know about NASCAR? Or cart? Or cars in general, for that
matter? Please tell me it's not true!

From the info I have, only the artwork will/may be shipped there, but it's not a
definite.

Cheers!

Marc
