SRO News Flash! Image Space, Inc.  has changed their minds and will
include a***pit view for the release of PSCR! No word as to whether
this will get into the demo, and the change may only be one generic
dashboard, rather each specific vehicle (although ISI said they would
look into it).

ISI said this was based on the amount of mail received from people
reading SRO's article [ http://www.racesimcentral.net/] and writing them
that they weren't happy about the lack of an in-car view. Nobody at ISI
uses it, and it surpised them to find how many people would want this
feature.

Thanks folks, for helping make a change in what looks to be a great
sim!  =)

Cheers!

Marc

Great!!

There you go... we DO have a say in games(sims)... it's good to see a
company like SLI listen to the potential market.

Congrats, everyone who wrote!

What??? I wanted that bumper cam view!! Dam simplayers always wanting a in car view...that just ruined the game! I wanted to pretend
I was a bumper cam the hole day and feel the car physics from that view..Damm you Marc Nelson you have caused all of this.<G>

LOL........

Thank god they changed their decision..I could see it getting slamed hard core for not providing a in car.

Thanks Marc !

I'm not a big potential PSCR fan but it's nice to know that us hard core
simmers have a voice with some of these companies. SRO is definitely a
leader in the Sim internet community !

Not to worry, Mike...Your lame-ass arcade features will be there too, and I guess I'll have to drop by to show you where they are - You
can pretend to be a real-arcade-racer once the sim is released (the only thing you can drive is me nuts!)...Guess I'll have to draw you
a road map of the tracks as well? - Hint: Nearly as many rights as there are lefts, with a few short straights thrown in for good
measure.  ;)

Doh!

FWIW,  I got hooked on the Viper demo last night (using the simulation mode
and both the in car view and the front bumper view)

Now, I think that PSCR might be fun and worth buying.....therefore when will
the demo be released and when is the scheduled release of the game/Sim?

Hi Tim,

Viper's a good one for sure, and I look forward to looking into the files - that
is, if I can find the time!  =P

I talked with ISI yesterday, and they're reworking the demo to include all (or
most) of the changes in the final...Not sure if the in-car view will make it in
(as per Gjon's message - apparently e-mail bombed to the whole sim
community<g>), but most of the bugs will be worked out.  Gjon said it's coming
along quite well, and he appreciates all the feedback.

Now all we need to do is bug the hell outta' EAI for Trans-Am Racing...Man, what
a (sim) year - Someone pinch me!

Cheers!

Marc

This is their personal preference to drive this way.  The nature of code monkeys
is that they have a tendency to bury themselves into their work, and may not think
(or realize) what a so-called die hard wants.

One thing is apparent, that they listened to to the feedback sent, and reevaluated
PSCR.  Any way you slice it, it's a good thing, and one I wouldn't knock.

Cheers!

Marc

Well...Papyrus guys don't like using steering wheels...they (generally,
I hear) prefer Joystick and Pedals...does that make GPL fatally flawed?

Give it a chance...it could be a good game...the screenshots are
certainly tantalizing...

Good point, but it seems that PSCR may be beyond the 50% mark, having received a
thumbs-up from an avid sim-head (Art Axelrad).  Of course, the proof's in the pudding,
and we can all decide once the demo's been released...or at least get an idea of what's
to come.  Like some, I hope this isn't just another CPR.

Cheers!

Oh, you don't trust ANY of the experienced guys on this ng praising this
sim? It IS a great sim. You might not like the high difficulty, but that
doesn't make it a bad or mediocre game.
