Does anyone have a Diamond Edge or 3D Blaster yet ? If so, how does
the specially adapted version of NASCAR compare with the
non-accelerated version ? i.e. fps comparison in high res with all
detail on.

Also, if any of you have seen both the Diamond Edge and the 3D Blaster
versions, which is best ?

TIA

All I've read so far, from posts and a magazine article, is that the
games runs smooth everything on.  So far though I think these are all P100
owners.

The only comment I've seen about the 3D Blaster was that it "wasn't fast
enough for the price of the card."  Though the machine wasn't a P100.

My brother bought the 3dblaster for his dx4100.  He cant run regular
nascar in svga, to damn choppy.  He has a sorry cirrus logic video
card.  Put the 3dblaster version in, still have to have the old video
card in, they hook together.  3dblaster runs a little smother, maybe
14 or 15 frames per second, by real choppy in traffic.
Either he needs to change his cirrus logic video card to something
faster and run that with the 3dblaster to get the better frame rates
or just take back the 3d blaster and buy a new fast video card.  I
think it aint worth the money!

I would return it and wait for a card with a geometry processor
if you use a slower 486 card. That is one of the major slowdowns since
the CPU needs to do the geometry processing.
