Nascar damage repair-How to turn off

About a week ago someone made a post about always losing races because
of long pit stops due to *minor* damage taking forever to fix.  I
don't know it is is well known but you can toggle the repairing on/off
by hitting enter after you press F9 to check out what will be done.
It's on the quick ref. card that came with Nascar (you know, the thing
noone REALLY reads). Hope this tip makes a few more winners.

Actually, the idea is to give us the option of being able to pull out of the
pits when WE want to, whether the damage is repaired or not.  This is
currently not an option.  Yes, you can determine what will be fixed BEFORE you
go in the pits, but that's not what we're looking for.

Why do I get this image of some poor crewman being dragged down pit road
holding on to a pair of tin snips attached to a badly bent fender?

Sounds like Johnny Herbert in the Spanish GP 1995 and one rear jack...!
