WinME is definitely an option.  It's no worse than Win98.  In fact it's
probably a lot more compatible and boots in half the time of 98.  It got a
bad reputation because when it came out, the Nvidia drivers at the time
caused frequent blue screens.  Nvidia have long since corrected the problem
and all is well.  Don't listen to all the "WinME is crap!" people.

Duh.  There's no such thing as a GeForce 4 MX 400 and it's not a mainboard
chipset anyway.

Stop wasting people's time, troll.

WinME is CRAP.  It's the worst OS any manufacturer has ever shipped.  It is
buggy, has problems with drivers, and will make you pull your hair out.

Maybe one out of ten people think ME is a good OS.

And I sure ain't one of them.  Thank heavens it was never a corporate OS.
IT budgets around the world would have imploded.

I didn't say it was perfect, or for that matter, better than Win2K/XP or
indeed a 'good OS.'  I said it was as good or better than Win98SE.  For
anyone who has hardware compatibility problems with WinXP - joysticks,
scanners etc, it is a very viable alternative.  Try installing Win98SE on
modern hardware.  I guarantee you won't get far without a bluescreen.
