What's up with didnt.doit?

I haven't been able to access this site for a week now.

I've tried Netscape, lynx, WSFtp, and ncftp. ping says it's alive, but whois
never heard of it.

Anyone else?

Later,

I tried it just now without problems (ncftp).

didnt.doit is having hickups lately (since I installed and 'improved'
web server, the ftp daemmon keeps bimbing randomly). I also have
been in California for a week, leading to the server being dead
for a few days until I got back here. I hope to be able to track
down the problem soon, and it gets annoying to answer all the
emails I get asking me what's up. Hang in there - if you get a
"connection refused", it either is too busy, or crashed again.

If you have had problems today (9/14), then it is your end that is
causing the problem, as several hundred users have logged in
successfully in teh last 24 hours.
