I know the feeling. Been going on with the 0.9.9 Namie release for a
week now. Practised my ass off at Falkenberg because I did not want to
lose face if I went multiplayer.. But so far I ve only gotten into 1
multiplayer game (that was full of Italians driving the Modenas), the
syncing only went away after several logon attempts and by that time I
could not even complete one qualif lap. then just before race start, I
got thrown out of the server and never could get back in, the line
staying red. tried several other servers from the www.nKzone.com but
just like you I could not get in not even in 1 of the like10 servers
I tried to connect to. But the problem is a known problem by the guys
of that community and I think some people are working out solutions.
It is very much a topic in the Netkar group at the Simracing pages...
Jani Ervast wrote down his experiences with running a netKar server :
-When one adds server, one should wait at least 20 seconds before he
clicks join button.
-When one joins into server and after that would like to change car,
one must retire from race, add server, choose car, wait at least 20
seconds and then click join.
-Changing setup should be done before entering into track, not after.
-When one enters to track he should make time in one session, if one
crashes his car one should wait again at least 20 seconds before he is
clicking that race button.
-When one clicks esc on track, he should be stopped and not controls
pressed/turned.
-If syncing message is not going away, retire from race and proceed
with step 1, by adding server again.
-Same goes with redbar syndrome, waiting enough long is helping.
-Server will crash very often if these instruction are not followed,
also server with more than 5 racers is more sensitive to crash.
All seem to be connected to number of slots, somehow.
This is a very illustrative page on how to connect to multiplayer :
