I am going to be racing a quad4 car this summer at whipcity in
massachusets. there should be more women in racing. i know like 3girls
that race a t whipcity and the only women that i know of that i hear
about all the time is Shilrley Muldowney.. she is the olny women in
racing that was inducted to the international motorsports hall of
fame! I have never heard about any another women... Men should get
over the fact that women can handle a mans sport.. sorry guyz but u
will get beat bye a girl. the cars don't know the difference if its a
female or a man racing it.. i think that guys should give the women
that are tryin a mans sport more credit. they wouldn;t be in the sport
if they couldn't handle it.

I think there is a woman driving in CTS this year. There was also a woman
that drove a Busch car a few years ago, forget her name, but her husband was
also driving at the time.

Why?! Is it not enough for you chicks that you get to hang out at the track,
wearing nothing more than flimsy bathing outfits? Jeez...

Sure just what racing needs.  Politically correct bullshit like every other
part of society.  If you have talent racing then sure a women can race (the
closest Ive seen is the girl from the IRL), till then stfu and watch like
the rest of us.  The idea that some chick gets a ride for no reason other
than she's a chick disgusts me.  Dont feel lonely though I feel the same way
about men.  Nascar is filled with no talent drivers that get to race week in
and week out because of a name (Kyle Petty comes to mind).  Nascar is also
determined to have a black guy race, regardless of skill, again this
disgusts me.  When someone comes along that has some talent it shouldnt
matter what gender or color said individual is.  Shoving someone down our
throat because of political correctness just plain pisses me off...

I was watching this black guy racing motocross last year, I've forgotten his
name(Stewart?), but he was superb. Just blew everybody else off the track.
Then he was injured for quite some time and lost the chance of winning the
championship outright, but when he returned to racing he carried on where he
left off. Winning, winning and winning some more !  I don't know what's
happened to him as AMA motocross hasn't been on the T.V. here for some time.
He was on another level to all the other riders out there.
He must have impressed the right people from a very early age. I think he's
still only a ***ager.

that is James (bubba) Stewart...  yah he was kicking ass just like Rick
Johnson, Ricky Carmichael and others before him :P

Problem always is, interest and dedication, then ability.  If you have the
1st 2 the second can be usually "trained."   but too many dont give a sh*t
beyond "oh that's be neat" (just like me)...  I wanted to be a race driver,
but never had the true sense of the word "interest", let alone dedication...
My friends have gone off to race dirt and I admire thier ability to spend
the hours it takes getting evertying together...  So as you can see,
Interest & dedication just doesnt mean "wish I could..." because if that was
all it takes I would have been as famous as Petty or DE Sr...  LOL

SO FYI, just like it has been posted before, dont get on here whinin that
there ain't no Women or Blacks in racing, it aint societies falt, as much as
it is just as hard for me to become a racer as it will be for the next
"person".  Even though, er well, I keep hoping I could win the 300 million
in a lottery, I guarantee you I would blow 80% of it trying to field a car,
in something, like ASA or something...  Heck might jut jump straight to CUP
since I always "hear/read" on boards & stuff, how JR or anyone can "Buy"
race wins/championships...  ROFLMAO.

There were three in the race at Mansfield yesterday.

Patty Moise, married to Elton Sawyer.  She was very competitve in IMSA's
American Challenge in the mid-late '80's.  I believe she won either a pole
or race at one of Road Atlanta's BGN races around that same time.
