CART has gone through some of the same dumb motions that the FIA has done
to try and limit top speeds...so we get these cars with vastly reduced Aero
grip.
they used to be able to throw those cars everywhere...now it's starting to
resemble
F1.

sessions to qualify.
the drivers are split up into two groups. The drivers with the least amount
of points go out first...then in the next 30 minute session, the supposedly
faster drivers, those with more points, get to run on a track which has lots
of fresh *** laid down from the first
group. So invariably, the 2nd group times are faster than the first...
So by talking about Qualifying points..that isn't a real statistic..but
gives the HAVES a
better chance than the HAVE-NOTS.
dave henrie(Dixon looked pretty good with a light fuel load against the
leaders with full
tanks...when he went in for fuel and tires, thats why he fell back)
