Momo hard to steer on F1C

My brother just got a Momo for his Birthday.
( Not the expensive Leather one ).
After being used to the relatively light steering on my LWFF (the original
red one). The Momo is like driving an old Kenworth with no power steering. I
have turned the FF slider far left to -100% , but still the steering is
heavy. I tried adjusting a few of the settings in the Player.ini file but
none of the settings seem to alter the force required to turn the Kenworth.
This makes it very hard to react to sudden oversteer.
Apart from this problem, the Momo, feels like a lot better wheel than my
LWFF. If I could lighten the steering I would buy one myself. As it is, my
lap times are much worse using the Momo, as compared to my LWFF.
Has anyone got any ideas on how to fix this, or has anybody fixed this
problem on their own Momo?
One more question:
Do you guys run F1C from the Logitech Profiler, or Just run it straight from
the game, without using the profiler?
It seems to give different results, using either of these methods.

Try turning down the overall FFB effects strength in windoze *** options.

I don't know why they still have this stupid, counterintuitive way of
adjusting FFB. The cynic in me says they do it to generate call to the
helpline - which they make money out of, of course!

***ers!!

The MOMOs are about twice as strong as the LWFF for FF - I turn the overall
effects strength down to 50% in the joystick control panel.

Turning the effects down to a level where the steering is acceptably light,
virtually turns off all FF effects.
Has anyone else got any ideas?

If that's the case then your wheel has serious hardware/software problems.
