CART Precision Racing -- Cars crashing

by BG921 » Sun, 02 Apr 2000 04:00:00

I recently found this forum and am glad to finally know some fellow open-wheel
gamers.

I have purchased all the CART sims I know to exist and currently enjoy the old
ICR II the best.  Although nothing new seems to be on the market.

I am having problems with Precision Racing -- the opponent cars during a race
seem to crash constantly -- especially during ovals.  It used to happen on my
old system, but a new Dell PIII 700 does it too.  Any suggestions?

CPR was a bit of a let down for many sim racers. The AI was just one
of a number of 'features' that made this into a non-viable product in
the eyes of many.

As you say, there hasn't been a class cart sim for awhile.

If its the cart tracks that you like, as much as the casr, you can
however use many of those tracks in GPL via a track converter utility.

Cheers.

After two years of trying to get this nearly ideal, but fatally flawed sim
to work I solved all my problems by inserting the CD into the round file and
buying ICRII.
