Need for Speed SE trouble

by Mike Lamann » Tue, 23 Dec 1997 04:00:00

I am having trouble with the game Need For Speed SE I just aquired a
Thrust Master T2 steering wheel....... calibrated it for win 95 and also
calibrate it for NFSSE and when I go to the menu selection screen the
highlighted area jumps around erraticly making it very difficult to
choose a car or track seems like  the steering wheel is making it jump
around and you cannot select with the mouse or the wheel .... If you had
this problem please let me know what you did to fix it
Thank you and happy holidays

It is not Id, ID, iD, or anything with periods
IT IS: id (2 lowercase letters & rhymes with "did")

Need for Speed SE trouble

T2 is a good choice but I had the same trouble. I believe I downloaded a
bit of software from the Thrustmaster site which helped. Before I used
PROPANEL I had to use DOS for NFSSE although I had no problem with NFSII.
Now they work fine. I also had to use FASTVID as I have a PentiumII system.

I have the TM Grand Prix 1 wheel and NFS2SE.
I set it up under win95 as a 2-axis 4-button joystick and it works great.
I tried to set it up first as a t2 and it was erratic like you said. But now
it works fine.
Also, in the manual it says to use an adapter that came with it for games
under win95.
When the adapter is attached it doesn't get recognized. It only works
without the adapter.

Hope this helps.
