it on the wall for as big as you want in 1024*768. The color and
brightness are clear enough to leave the lights on. Now take this and
a kart chasis, ff-wheel, and surround sound (in a helmet) and you
would be set. The cool thing about this Compaq MP1600 is that you can
also play TV/VCR/DVD thru it and not have to buy a big screen TV and
it is under 6 pounds (US) and tiny, so it is portable. So I am
thinking for about $10,000 dollars (this price includes the new
computer) you could get an really nice simulator.
What this does not get you is a version of GPL that works with an ACT
Labs shifter!!! Still waiting on that. I really do not think it would
help my times, but I think it would assist in the
'getting-into-the-sim' feeling that is sometimes missing.
